Bicycle Tour Hofjes
The Hague has more than 100 hofjes – a complex of small houses build around a courtyard. The oldest were founded for charity, the almshouses, and later they were built by landlords who wanted to make money. Then came the projects to build proper houses for people on low incomes.
What's up?
I will lead you past a variety of courtyards in the centre and in the surrounding districts. You will hear the stories of the founders, the owners and the residents. We will look at the differences and similarities, and at what has changed over the years.

During a guided tour through The Hague I will tell you about the origins of the city, its architecture, the people who lived there and the events that took place. I do so with great enthusiasm and I will take your interests into account. Because each group is different, each guided tour is a unique experience!
